The Huo Family Foundation is delighted to announce it will be supporting exhibitions at two leading London institutions, continuing to champion curatorial and research excellence in the museum and gallery sectors.

The Courtauld Gallery will be receiving £900,000 in support of three upcoming exhibitions, the first of which will be Wayne Thiebaud: American Still Life running from 10 October 2025 until 18 January 2026. This will be the first ever museum exhibition of Thiebaud’s work in the United Kingdom and will focus on his remarkable group of still-life paintings produced in the late 1950s and 1960s, which reinvented the genre for the modern age. These paintings take quintessentially North American subjects from diner and deli food to gumball dispensers and slot machines. The exhibition is curated by Dr Karen Serres and Dr Barnaby Wright. The Huo Family Foundation will be recognised as Lead Supporter for this exhibition and two others to be announced.

The Foundation is also supporting two other exciting exhibitions at The Courtauld Gallery with details to be announced in due course.

Utagawa Kuniyoshi, the general Takeda Shingen raising a war fan. Colour woodblock print, 1845. British Museum.

The Foundation will be gifting £325k to British Museum to support a Japanese themed exhibition opening in February 2026. Further details will be announced soon.
